In 2023, Ruma Products Middle East launched a brand-new manufacturing facility in the United Arab Emirates in partnership with Oilfields Supply Center (OSC) division OSC-SIML.

This allows us to achieve and maintain best-in-class levels of performance reliability and customer satisfaction throughout the industry.

We are located within OSC’s 210,000 sq/ft manufacturing complex in Dubai Industrial City. Our state-of-the-art facility doubles Ruma Products’ manufacturing capacity, and increases in-country value by locally manufacturing swellable packer products for onshore and offshore UAE oil & gas operations.

 

The industry-leading climatized facility features a cutting-edge manufacturing equipment setup including an 18.5m (60ft) long brand-new autoclave.

This enables Ruma Products to locally produce a wide range of swellable packer sizes and configurations with increased degree of complexity. For example smart-well completion packers and other application-specific configurations.

Supported by Ruma Products’ Middle East Regional office in Dubai Sports City, the inauguration of this manufacturing hub strengthens the local manufacturing sector while creating local jobs for the UAE’s workforce.

This initiative places Ruma Products at an advantageous position. We are able to provide best-in-class response times to urgent requests by streamlining the local supply chain process while eliminating the risk of international-freight delays.

 

In adition to supporting UAE oil & gas operations, the manufacturing facility is setup to support regional activities throughout the MENA region. We will continue to increase manufacturing capacity as we aim to expand into other energy markets across the Eastern Hemisphere.
